Where she stayed on the Cerro Verde side is definitely the best. The touristy side on the other side is full of rubbish and stray dogs and the restaurants are not that great. XX

Hi I’m Marc from Liverpool this brings back so many memories i lived on a small island not far from Freetown called Pepel my dad was an engineer manager for the iron ore company , me and my sister absolutely loved this place and we lived there for 15 years from 1972 Lumley beach has changed so much i didn’t really recognise it at all. The people are so nice and welcoming , but we had to leave because of war but I’m definitely going back there for my 60th birthday and take my wife to show her were i used to live and our village just across the road from our house , wow the memories just amazing.
